Prague School of Bioethics is a unique international event, aimed at
promoting the interest of important current bioethical issues, especially
among medical students and other students of health studies as well as
physicians, nurses and other health care providers.
SECOND YEAR
The second edition of the event will have two thematic lines: Women in
Medicine and Vaccination. Each of these important ethical issues will be
thoroughly addressed by invited experts in lectures, seminars and panel
discussions. A detailed program will be published in early September 2022.
FIRST YEAR
There were three topic lines in this inaugural event: End-of-life
Decisions, Therapeutic Gene Editing in Humans, and Transplantation. Each
of these important ethical issues was thoroughly addressed by invited
experts in lectures, workshops and panel discussions. The program also
included other activities such as films and interactive exhibitions.
The Prague School of Bioethics is organized by the Second Faculty of
Medicine, Charles University and Institute of Biomedical Ethics and
History of Medicine, University of Zurich.
